The North American Xiaofang Huangmei Art Academy, in collaboration with the New Jersey Xiangyin Choir, will grandly present the Huangmei Variety Show "Elegant Huangmei, Timeless Opera Classics" on the evening of August 31, 2024, at the New Brunswick Performing Arts Center in New Jersey.

Chen Xiaofang, the founder of the North American Xiaofang Huangmei Art Academy and a renowned Huangmei opera artist known as "Little Yan Fengying," has invited several well-known artists from various fields and will lead a hundred art enthusiasts to stage a spectacular show. This event will feature a blend of classical and modern Huangmei opera pieces, incorporating dance, instrumental music, waist drums, and other art forms for a delightful audiovisual feast.

Chen Xiaofang will perform her famous piece from "The Heavenly Match" and lead the choir in Huangmei opera choruses "Husband and Wife Return Home Together" and "Who Would Have Thought the Top Scorer in the Imperial Exam." These pieces are newly arranged and conducted by National First-Class Conductor Zhang Chunhe. The piano accompaniment and hundred-person chorus for Huangmei opera classics are a first in North America. This is the most anticipated innovation and attempt of this variety show.

Other performances will include excerpts from ancient costume Huangmei operas like "Meng Jiangnu," "The Female Prince," "Dream of the Red Chamber," and modern classic "The Painter in the Dust." The show will also feature elegant ethnic fashion shows, graceful cheongsam fan dances, and the passionate and lively ethnic waist drum performances, offering the audience a unique impression and artistic enjoyment of Chinese culture in the summer of the Year of the Dragon.

The performance is supported by the National Endowment for the Arts. Special guest performers include renowned guzheng player Wu Zhongbei from the Drama Center of Binghamton University, New York, Mei Lanfang Award-winning Peking opera artist Tu Linghui, famous singer Zhang Hong, and others. Friends from all walks of life are welcome to come and experience the charm of Huangmei opera and witness the performances of these renowned artists.

北美小芳黄梅艺术团联袂新泽西乡音合唱团，将于2024年8月31日晚，在新泽西NBPC表演艺术中心，隆重推出黄梅综艺晚会【一脉黄梅雅韵，千古戏曲典藏】。
北美黄梅艺术团创始人、素有小严凤英美誉的著名黄梅戏表演艺术家陈小芳，邀请多位不同领域的著名艺术家，并率百名文艺爱好者登台，献上一台荟萃古典与现代黄梅曲目、融汇舞蹈、器乐、腰鼓等多种艺术形式的视听盛宴。
陈小芳除了将演绎其成名代表作《天仙配》唱段，还将领唱由国家一级指挥家张椿和先生全新编配、指挥的黄梅戏合唱《夫妻双双把家还》《谁料皇榜中状元》。钢琴伴奏、百人合唱黄梅戏经典曲目在北美还是首创。这是此次综艺晚会最令人期待的创新和尝试。
晚会上演的剧目还有古装黄梅戏《孟姜女》《女驸马》《红楼梦》和现代戏经典《风尘女画家》等优秀曲目中的唱段。穿插其间的，还有风姿翩翩的民族风走秀，雅韵悠悠的旗袍佳丽扇子舞和激昂热烈的民族腰鼓等，为观众带来的只属于龙年盛夏的中华文化印象和艺术享受。
本次演出得到美国国家艺术基金会的支持。特邀献艺的有纽约州立宾汉顿大学戏剧中心的著名古筝演奏家吴中蓓，中国戏剧“梅花奖”获得者、著名京剧表演艺术家涂玲慧，著名歌唱家张泓等等。欢迎各界朋友如约而来，领略黄梅情韵，一睹名家风采。
